THE SINGER LEILLA NEGRAU FROM REUNION ISLAND CREATES A NEW ALBUM CALLED « OUMASSI »
In this new album called « OUMASSI » there are eleven songs of pure energy and smile as like the singer herself. Since 11 years old Leilla Négrau is on stage, she used to dance at 6, to be an actress at 11, and became professional artist at 16. Now she’s singing her own original music and playing percussions all over the world. She named this music « MALOYA ROCK », it sounds like a real blues from the Indian Ocean, created by the slaves in Réunion Island where she comes from.

When she is on stage, she sings playing traditional percussions. LEILLA writes her lyrics (she speaks french, english, spanish, german and creolish), and composes her songs with all the inspiration and imagination brought by her own life. She’s travelling all the time, meeting different kind of artists all over the world. This international music is a real mixture of south american, african, european and indian culture. Her main theme is : love for ever. Leilla works with « a dream team » as shes says, professional musicians and most of all, very good friends like Lionel Gaillardin (he worked with Benjamin Biolay and Karenn Ann) or Franck Langolf (he worked with Vanessa Paradis) and olivier Roman Garcia, to realise her album. The band used to do the opening of : Césaria Evora (Cap vert), Bebel Gilberto (Brasil),Youssou N’Dour (Sénégal), Carlinhos Brown (Brasil)...made many TV shows, radios, and performs in the world music network.
